The food was great! Cost alittle high, environment was different and fantastic. I will go back again. Wish they made lobster tail so I dont have to go to Winchester Va. My Down Syndrome daughter wants to go back too. No one got ill like we do after eating from a buffet bar.
I’d visit again and try wines with another entree and def get desert.
Cool history brief on their website and the restoration was lovely. Old exposed brick and beams, caged Edison bulbs have a cozy feel, chestnut floors were stunning. Looks like they can manage groups or a large crowd for weekend dinners. Service was good. I had the pot pie; creamy savory and flakey crust with an ample portion, salad was a basic spring mix, tomatoes, cucumber slices, store croutons with store-bought blue cheese. I was looking for more home made breads, dressings, drinks etc to compliment the fare.
Loved this restaurant. Steak done to perfection and the boneless ribs were out of this world. Clean atmosphere and offers a cozy feel. The menu offers a good selection of dinners fairly priced. The service was excellent.
Just passing through on a Sunday afternoon a week before Christmas. From the main Street it didn’t look open but the lunch special board caught my attention; chicken pot pie. We drove around the block and parked in the back near a restored log cabin. The parking was close and easy to walk in the back door. ADA lift if needed.
My wife had grilled chicken with cooked carrots and a salad. Well seasoned all around. Home made deserts were available but no room for us. Coffee and water only. $34 total is a moderately priced meal and it’s a good value and worth it for the flavor and portions.
Nice old clean place with nice atmosphere but was really disappointed. Expecteded that prices would be higher for the type of place but did not realize that sides would be extra for the broiled fish I had. My food was good, but over $ 20 for a fish dinner seamed overpriced to me. Others had CFried steak which there were large helpings, but complained steaks were very tough. The Apple pie for dessert was cold, and for $ 4 a slice looked about a half slice. Don't think I be visiting this establishment in the future, and would not recommend.
Small family gathering for my grandmother 88th birthday.. first get there they seat us outside with a muggy, rainy, humid 70+degrees. FLY infested as well. Was told we didn't want to be outside they didn't care to accommodate us. All ordered at different times so food was coming out at all different times . An Nothing was right. Was to much to ask for a refill with out some eye rolling.. no ice in your water melts to fast the temp is rising an flies are landing on everything. I could write a 10 page experience, but really not worth my time.. I will never step foot back in there very unprofessional. If you like your so called chef wiping his dripping sweat all over his apron as he makes your food with out gloves. Then this is the place to go. An if you have a food allergy BEWARE They don't Care! Oh an one more tidbit. Connie expects her 15% gratuity! For real. Get it together!!
