Besides my experience, my fiance was charged $200 just to walk in and have her bloodwork results read to her. That's it. That's ridiculous, and I have a suspicion that the reason they can get away with that is because since they allow folks to just walk in and recieve care without making an appointment, they can charge as though it were an ER visit.
Take it from me, just take the time to set up an appointment with a REAL doctor's office. At least you know they'll have time set aside to actually see you.
went to dr. boone with a workers comp related injury...he did not even examine me, just listened to the symptoms and made a diagnosis. went there several times for same problem, he never fixed the problem nor did he send me somewhere else to have the problem fixed. also, now that the workers comp claim is being litigated, he wants nothing to do with it. I have no proof because I didn't tape record our conversations, but he denied me ever telling him what caused the injury....I told him every time I was there because I knew it was very important...therefore I "believe" he looked me in the eye and bold face lied. he just sat there and collected money from me and my insurance company and did nothing for my problem. make the drive to Winchester, it will be worth it.
In my experience, this "Clinic" is unreliable and overcharges unwitting folks for their services, if they get serviced at all. I, personally, have only ever tried to go to them once, when I thought I might have had strep throat. I sat in the waiting room after signing in for over an hour and was never seen. I had to leave then because I had to go to work. If this establishment's main advertising point is that one can just walk in and get cared for, then they should probably try living up to that idea.
